Maybe because they were much rarer in the '90s, time sloted completely out of my control, but some of the most beautiful childhood memories I have are related to cartoons broadcasted on a few local TV channels at that time.

On weekdays, we often gathered (children of a small town in Vojvodina region ^^), at 6.25pm to watch the evening cartoon on BK televison. Oh and weekends, in the period between 9 to 12 am were something truly special, filled with cartoons! The streets were empty during that period. Going outside was, traditionally, done only after lunch (and morning cartoons).

I was always, completely irrationally I'm sure, under the impression that if I forget about those cartoons, I will forget about the dear memories I hold so close to my heart.

With that in mind, for years (we're talking about a timeframe of 10+ years) I've been keeping a list of cartoons, collecting links, going over old TV journals from 1985 onwards so ... so I wouldn't forget. In that process, I also became a "cartoon librarian" of different groups of people I belonged to throughout my life, for questions like: "do you remember that cartoon, you know it was ...". Of course I know, I always knew!

So we come to my, perhaps favorite creation, "don't forget me" - a collection of cartoons broadcasted in the period between 1985 (I tried to catch a few years before birth) and 2009, which I watched and which I don't want to forget. These are mostly opening themes or clips available on YouTube and other online sources. From a developer's point of view, I give this 0 points for code complexity, but +1000 for the emotions it can evoke if your childhood covers even a few years from that period. A lot of effort has been put into researching, collecting and formatting resources for this. My one hope is that it'll bring back beautiful memories to anyone who visits it. 💖
